I was hoping someone here could help me, I need the advice of an indoor gardener!
I have a much abused aloe. My grandma gave it to me when it was just a tiny sprig, so I want to save it! When I moved recently it started getting lots of light so it has perked up a bunch. My question is.... from its previous trauma, the lower leaves rotted and fell off, then it sort of fell over. It looks like an "L"... the stem at the bottom is flattened, flopped over and and bare, then it grows up from there and looks like a normal aloe again.
Can I repot it and bury the ugly bare part of the stem? Will that hurt it or open it to rot? Maybe I could put some small decorative stones over it? Advice appreciated. :)
